About NCTI

Current Ownership

NCTI is a subsidiary of American Medical Response (AMR), headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado. NCTI is the largest paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician and EMS training institute in The United States. We offer Paramedic and EMT courses at multiple site across the country.

NCTI was founded in 1988 in Sacramento, California, after the need was identified for EMS training resources in the Sacramento Valley. A coalition of private ambulance services initially funded the start-up, which began as a partnership with a local community college. Over the years, as the demand grew and EMS agency and college district boundaries were drawn and re-drawn, NCTI began to operate independently.

Today, NCTI programs are nationally accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and has grown into the largest paramedic training institution in the United States.
